Lime

Tilia spp.

Lime, or linden, comes from a deciduous tree that grows flowers and bracts that are attached to the flower. It is a great option for anyone who suffers from restlessness or insomnia. This is a perfect solution if you are looking for a natural remedy because of its sedative properties. Lime can help with falling asleep and staying asleep throughout the whole entire night. It also helps with relieving tension and sinus congestion. Once the tension and pressure is relieved, the user can relax and be able to heal faster. It is also anti inflammatory so it can help relieve congestion that is caused by the common cold and flu. It may also be able to help with allergies and hay fever that can cause inflammation throughout the lungs and sinuses. Lime can be applied to the skin to help relieve any inflammation or itchiness. It should be noted that lime is not the same as the fruit. It should not be used by people who have low blood pressure.

This tree dates all the way back to Ancient Greece. This tree can be found in traditional Greek myths. The main story that this tree is featured in is about the nymph Philyra. This nymph was raped by the god Cronus, who was disguised as a horse. Philyra eventually gives birth to the famous centaur Chiron. While this sounds like a happy ending, Philyra is heart broken. She pleads with the gods to make it so she does not have to stay with mortals the rest of her life. The gods were feeling gracious so they decided to turn Philyra into a linden tree.

This plant is native to Europe. Lime, or linden, is typically found in the wild but can also be found growing locally near roads and in local gardens. It is grown on a medium to large tree. This tree is known to be an easy tree to take care of for beginners. The tree provides enough light that you can even plant flowers and other plants beneath it if you so choose. This tree does the best when it is planted in the fall. It will also need mulch or soil that is well drained and will need to be in the full sun or a partially shaded area.
