Lemon Grass

Cymbopogon citratus

Large clumps of fragrant grass, reaching to a height of 1.5 metres (5 ft). has flower stalks with branches and short leaf blades. Tea made from lemon grass is typically consumed to treat digestive issues. It eases cramping pains and flatulence, relaxes the muscles in the stomach and intestines, and is especially safe for kids. Lemon grass is largely used as a plant to lower fevers in the Caribbean (especially where there is significant catarrh). To relieve pain and arthritis symptoms, it is used topically as a decoction or diluted essential oil. In India, ringworm areas are covered in a paste made from the leaves.
