Indian Berry is a sizable woody climbing shrub with long-hanging clusters of greenish blooms and opposite, oval leaves. It produces reddish-brown kidney-shaped fruit and has distinct plants for its male and female blossoms.
The fruit has been know to be used as a fish poison. It is dispersed in the water, where it stupefies nearby fish, forcing them to float to the top.
Indian Berry is a plant that grows in forests in South-East Asia, from Indonesia to Sri Lanka via India and Sri Lanka.
